About Peet’s Coffee

Berkeley-born chain featuring signature coffee, tea & blended drinks alongside baked goods.

April 1, 1966 is the date that Alfred Peet opened up his first coffee store in Berkeley, CA and ignited a revolution that would truly change American consumers' expectations of coffee. Alfred Peet learned the coffee trade while operating machinery for B. Koorn & Company, his father’s coffee and tea company in Alkmaar. He returns to college to woo foreign purveyors of coffee and tea. He keeps making by hand and fiddling with machines.

The Stonewall Scooters location is convenient, with friendly staff, a fun atmosphere, and one spectacular pumpkin cold brew oat latte.
